In response to President Bashir's recent expulsion of 16 humanitarian organizations from Sudan, a large crowd of Boston area activitists and STAND members came together to draw attention to the millions of Darfuris now at risk of starvation and disease.

On Behalf of Darfur - As part of a nationwide week of action aimed at urging the US State Department to restore humanitarian aid to Darfur, protestors gathered yesterday at City Hall Plaza in Boston. Katryna and Margo Balboni, sisters, were part of a four-minute die in organized by the Massachusetts Coalition to Save Darfur. Following a March 4 expulsion of at least 10 international humanitarian groups from Sudan, activists want people to text Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who responds to frequently asked questions on the State Department Website. Boston police reported there were no arrests. |

- Mass. teens Nick Anderson and Ana Slavin named ABC people of the week. Nick Anderson and Ana Slavin launched Dollars for Darfur and have raised over $300,000 as the initiative has garnered support from schools around the country. | 2006-11-13 | "Judgement on Genocide The International Citizens Tribunal for Sudan" took place at the UN Church Center in New York City on November 13. Though the trial did not carry legal authority, it was an opportunity to speak out for those who have been victimized and those who have been eyewitnesses to the crimes against humanity and genocide that have taken place in Sudan for more than twenty years.
