- 7:00 p.m. “God Grew Tired of Us”
This is a 2006 National Geographic documentary film about three of the “Lost Boys of Sudan,” a group of some 25,000 young men who have fled the wars in Sudan since the 1980s, and their experiences as they moved to the United States. The film was written and directed by Christopher Dillon Quinn; co-directed by Tom Walker. Suggested age 13 or older. Following the film there will be a panel discussion led by Sudanese from the Boston area.

John Prendergast is an American human-rights activist focused on bringing international attention to the genocide in Sudan and the atrocities of the Lord’s Resistance Army in Northern Uganda. An adviser to the White House and the State Department in the mid-1990s, Mr. Prendergast later served as Senior Adviser to the International Crisis Group. He currently works for the ENOUGH Project, whose mission is to “prevent genocide and mass atrocities by promoting peace and providing protection.” Mr. Prendergast’s appearance In Lincoln is sponsored by the Bemis Lecture Series and the Sudanese Education Fund.
