Keynote Speaker  
Alex de Waal

Writer and activist on African issues is a Fellow of the Global Equity Initiative at Harvard and Director of Justice Africa, London. In his career, he has studied the social, political and health dimensions of genocide, especially in the Horn of Africa. He has been at the forefront of mobilizing African and international responses to these issues, including the African Union mediation in Darfur.

Rev. Gloria White-Hammond Co-Pastor of Bethel AME Church. She has served in medical missions, helped free enslaved Sudanese women and children, and continues to achieve global impact as a humanitarian.
Omer Ismail A native of Sudan and fellow at Carr Center for Human Rights Policy and Co-founder of Darfur Peace and Development Organization.
