Candlelight Vigil for Darfur in Copley Square
On International Human Rights Day, December 10, 2006, approximatedly 400 people attended a Candlelight Vigil for Darfur and heard a broad range of speakers and performers, including:

Panther Alier, a Sudanese "Lost Boy" survivor

Reverend Pamela Foster of Trinity Church

Rabbi Carey Brown of Temple Isaiah

Bavdeli Gregory Haroutunian of the First Armenian Church of Belmont

Bishop Gilbert Thompson of the Jubilee Christian Church
-
Farah Siraj and Joe Jaworski of Berklee College of Music performed Farah's song "To the Sudanese Women"
